Resolve Error 2537 to Recover MS SQL Server 2008

SQL Server 2008 is the latest version of SQL Server with its sole objective of making data management self organizing and maintaining with the development of SQL Server Always On technologies. It serves as the backend for data storage for various varieties of data like XML, email, time/calendar, file, spatial, document, etc. SQL Server 2008 is a relational database management system, RDBMS server and posses efficient Business Intelligence tools.

However, the SQL database can get corrupt because of various reasons like virus attacks, hardware issues, human errors, power surges, etc. Due to the corruption, you may not be able to access the database, you are unable to repair the MDF file and face abrupt behavior. In SQL Server 2008, you may get error message like

"Table error: Object ID O_ID, index ID I_ID, partition ID PN_ID, alloc unit ID A_ID (type TYPE), page P_ID, row ROW_ID. Record check (CHECK_TEXT) failed. Values are VALUE1 and VALUE2."

To rectify error 2537, you need to go to the root cause of the occurrence of the error. The major reason of the error is that a column in the row has not cleared a condition in the CHECK_TEXT statement. To resolve error 2537, the following steps should be performed:

  • Hardware Issues: Run hardware diagnostics and check the hardware settings and search for any hardware problem. If there are any problems, then check the error logs to know the cause of the error. You can also reformat and then reinstall the operating system to get rid of the problem.
  • Restore from backup: If the error is not caused because of hardware incompatibility, then check the backup of the database. Restore the database with its backup if its clean and updated.
  • Run DBCC CHECKDB: Run this command without any repair clause and get the exact reason of the occurrence of the error. This command should again be run with the suggested clause.

These methods are sufficient for rectifying error 2537 in MS SQL Server. However, if it is not fixed or reappears then it is advisable that you use third party MDF repair software to get rid of all the errors on SQL Server 2008.
